Smart Tuition and South Carolina Christian School Association Create Agreement

SCACS
Smart Tuition has recently created a joint agreement with the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) to sponsor association events and to offer tuition management and financial aid need assessment services to member schools.  The agreement provides special service benefits to SCACS schools for both Smart Tuition and Smart Aid financial aid need assessment services and for sponsorship of SCACS activities and conferences.

Smart Tuition will be offering a program that includes:  Multiple tuition payment plan choices with a variety of methods for payment, 24 hour customer service, late payer follow up services for past due accounts, and mobile applications and responsive design for use on Apple and Android tablets and phones.  Smart Aid is a financial aid need assessment program designed to help schools faithfully allocate financial aid awards to appropriate families.

The overall mission of the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools is to aid the cause of Christian schools and to serve as a voice for Christian education in South Carolina.  The South Carolina Association of Christian Schools is a service organization that exists to provide legislative oversight, to promote high-quality Christian educational programs, to encourage the goal of producing Christ-like young people, and to provide related institutional and personnel services to its constituency.  The general purpose and objectives of the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools are the establishment, development, advancement, promotion, and protection of Christian schools in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Association of Christian Schools began in 1967 and is an organization of 80 member schools with a combined enrollment of nearly 11,000.  Although most of the schools are church sponsored, SCACS is an association of schools.  A diversity of schools make up our membership and are sponsored by Independent Baptist, Southern Baptist, Southern Methodist, Free Will Baptist, Bible Baptist, Presbyterian Church of America, Wesleyan, Bible Church, and others. A few of the schools are sponsored by independent religious, educational organizations.

Executive Director of SCACS, Edward Earwood, looks forward to having Smart Tuition offer schools an excellent tuition management program to ensure on-time tuition payment processing.  Payment processing through Smart Tuition will give families choices and will allow schools to focus on their primary goal of educating students.

Matt Knapp, President and CEO of Smart Tuition noted, “Smart’s agreement with the South Carolina Association of Schools is a valuable in showing our support of Christian education.”  He continued, “Smart Tuition is dedicated to providing the best business accounting and financial support services to help schools meet their mission. With tuition being roughly 87% of most private school budgets, having a financial billing and reporting system is imperative for proper management.”
