Smart Tuition Announces Sponsorship of School Growth Labs

Smart Tuition is pleased to announce a partnership with School Growth that will provide innovative entrepreneurial leadership training for K12 school administrators and their teams.  Smart Tuition will sponsor School Growth labs in over 20 cities across the United States throughout 2015.

Founded in 2006 by educational leader Scott Barron, School Growth exists to help schools improve by providing leadership training to administrative teams.  School Growth workshops and labs are designed for school leaders who desire to be educational entrepreneurs. Educators benefit from the sessions when they seek to take personal responsibility, challenge the status quo, and desire to make a difference in their school–regardless of their title.

Scott Barron states, “We want to help schools innovate and engage with their community and as well as build an attitude of Servant Leadership within their organization.”  Scott is a visionary leader who has managed several large Christian schools, most recently at Mount Pisgah Christian School in John’s Creek, Georgia and Southwest Christian School in Fort Worth, Texas.   Scott presents at state and national conferences and is a graduate of Mars Hill University and Johns Hopkins University.

As the Chief Reinvention Officer and CEO of School Growth, Scott works with school heads and boards to develop strategies to improve the academic and economic performance of schools. Team attendees of the School Growth Labs will collaborate and come away from the two-day sessions with three extraordinary accomplishments:

  • A Lab Canvas to clearly define their school’s target market, value proposition, key activities, and resources.
  • A 90-Day Innovative Action Plan to implement high-value projects that will build momentum and accountability among stakeholders.
  • A Communication Plan to capture the compelling school narrative and ways to share it both internally and externally with the school community.

Lee Taylor, Head of Claiborne Christian School in West Monroe, Louisiana participated in a recent School Growth Lab states, “We have accomplished more in the last 90-days than we did in the past few years because of the focus, energy and goals that were produced as a result of our Innovation Plan! This was my first time being the head of a school and I knew that we needed to be more intentional in our strategy design.” Lee explained, “I needed to accelerate the growth of the school along with my own personal development. That’s why I chose School Growth to help me.”
