Smart Tuition Named Preferred Tuition Provider for Nine Catholic Dioceses

Several Catholic Dioceses including the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Archdiocese of Kansas City recently granted Smart Tuition, LLC, Preferred Status for tuition management services for their schools.   Among the activities included with Smart Tuition’s services are tuition and fees invoicing, processing and posting of payments, extensive reporting, on-line presentation of account transactions, and late payer follow up communication.

In addition to the Archdioceses of Oklahoma City and Kansas City, the following dioceses have also granted preferred status to Smart Tuition:  Diocese of Jackson, Mississippi; Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin; Diocese of New Ulm, Minnesota; Diocese of Gary, Indiana; Diocese of Toledo, Ohio; Diocese of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and the Diocese of Belleville, Illinois.  Preferred status is an endorsement by diocesan education offices that Smart Tuition services are a valuable resource to Catholic school administrators and to the parents with children attending their schools.

In business for over 25 years, Smart Tuition is the innovative technology and service leader for faith-based schools in the education payments industry.  Over 2,500 K-12 schools utilize Smart Tuition to ease the labor intense burden of billing and collection of tuition and fees.  Smart maximizes the latest technology to automate the payment process, to provide enhanced reporting, to increase payment choices for parents, and to follow up with delinquent payers.  The Smart Tuition program also helps schools stabilize their cash flow.

“Today, families wish to be able to pay their tuition from their mobile smart phone or tablet device.  They want to view their account online; they may wish to have their bank account debited or pay with a credit card.  Smart offers a full range of technology, service, and payment options to parents,” states Matt Knapp, President of Smart Tuition.

“We are pleased to partner with Smart Tuition,” said Cris Carter, Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. “Our goal is to provide a high quality Catholic education that is accessible, available and financially feasible for our community.  Smart provides the services we need to assist both our schools and our parents.”

Smart provides Catholic schools with the technology and service expertise to make sound financial decisions.  For funds safety and security, Smart Tuition follows best practices and risk compliance standards by being PCI-DSS validated, SSAE 16 audited, and Red Flag Rules adherent.  We help schools follow GAAP accounting practices.  Customer service is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Bilingual representatives are available to speak to parents in Spanish; and we produce enrollment forms in 15 languages.  Smart Tuition is endorsed by Intuit as cooperative partner for QuickBooks school accounting software.  In addition to faith based and independent school tuition management, Smart offers financial aid management and assessment services, online payment processing, and roll up reporting for diocesan financial analysis.
